Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for expanding PACIFIC's market presence and driving revenue growth. This position involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with architects, interior designers, developers, fabricators, and distributors, as well as strengthening relationships with existing clients. The role includes conducting market research, presenting product portfolios, coordinating samples and technical information, and preparing proposals and quotations. The Business Development Manager will collaborate with marketing and product teams to support promotional activities, participate in trade events and client meetings, and maintain accurate sales forecasts and reports. Day-to-day responsibilities also include monitoring competitor activity, negotiating commercial terms, and ensuring a high standard of customer service and follow-up.
Qualifications
- Strong business development and sales skills, including prospecting, lead generation, account management, and negotiation.
- Experience in client relationship management and stakeholder engagement, preferably with architects, designers, developers, or construction partners.
- Knowledge of building materials, surfaces, or related interior and architectural products; prior experience in stone, quartz, or ceramics is an advantage.
- Ability to conduct market analysis, identify growth opportunities, and develop effective go-to-market strategies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical product features in clear, customer-focused language.
- Strong organizational and planning capabilities, including pipeline management, reporting, and coordination with internal teams.
- Comfort working in an on-site, field-oriented role with regular client visits and travel within assigned territories.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is a plus.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) to manage data, prepare presentations, and track performance.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet targets, and adapt in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.
