Job Summary:

The BD Associate will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our Company. This position requires an understanding of drones/autonomous systems and a deep familiarity with the Defence landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • (Mandatory prior experience) RFP/RFI Response: Prepare and submit comprehensive responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) from defence procurement agencies. Hands-on experience with GeM portal is a must.
  • Requirement Gathering: Gather and analyse Indian Defence / Paramilitary user customer requirements (e.g. GeM, iDEX, TDF, ADB, CAPFs etc)
  • Product Demonstrations: Coordinate product presentations to potential customers, showcasing the unique capabilities of the Company's products
  • Event Management: Organise and represent the Company at defence-oriented exhibitions, trade shows, and customer events
  • Customer Management: Provide ongoing support and address customer needs
  • Field Trials: Coordinate and conduct field trials of the Company's products with customers to validate performance and gather feedback
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential opportunities and understand the evolving needs of the Indian defence sector
  • Support Demand Creation: Proactively identify and create demand for the company's products within the defence forces
  • International Business: Explore and pursue opportunities for international business; maintain a list of relevant event-expos/exhibition venues.
  • Business Development: Develop and implement effective business development strategies to generate leads, build user trust in the product, and close deals.

Requirements

  • *Preferable: Military background, or experience in Security-related organizations (Defence companies, iDEX, Home Department/Police, NSCS, etc)
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of Drone technology and its applications in defence
  • Business Development Skills: Proven track record in business development, with a focus on the defence sector
  • Personal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to clearly communicate with customers and stakeholders
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present complex technical information
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical and problem-solving skills to address customer challenges and find innovative solutions
