AI Powered Tech Talent. Build AI native, HANA optimized SAP applications and extensions by combining deep ABAP on HANA engineering with agentic AI patterns (LLMs + tools + retrieval + evaluation). The role focuses on delivering high performance, cloud ready, production-grade solutions using HANA pushdown principles, modern ABAP, and governed AI capabilities that can reason, retrieve context, and assist or act within enterprise SAP workflows—without training foundation models from scratch.
Core Responsibilities
Build efficient data models and access patterns using CDS views, associations, annotations, and authorization concepts.
Implement performance critical logic using AMDP / SQLScript where appropriate, with careful governance and testing.
Build services and APIs using modern paradigms (OData/service exposure patterns), ensuring stability, versioning, and contract-first behavior.
Apply secure coding standards and authorization checks consistently across data and service layers.
Design reusable data artifacts that support downstream consumers (UI, integrations, analytics, and AI retrieval layers).
Ensure lineage-friendly structures and consistent business definitions to reduce ambiguity across systems.
Establish evaluation harnesses for AI behaviors: offline golden datasets, scenario-based tests, and online monitoring to detect drift/regressions.
Introduce guardrails for AI outputs: authorization-aware context filtering, redaction rules, action confirmations, and audit logs.
Design robust error handling for enterprise flows: retries, idempotency, correlation IDs, and safe failure modes.
Support incident response with runbooks and structured diagnostics continuously harden solutions based on observed failure patterns.
Collaborate with UX, integration, data, and platform teams to ensure end to end solution correctness and performance.
Prototype rapidly, demonstrate frequently, and evolve prototypes into scalable production systems with security and compliance baked in.
Primary Skills (AI Native Must Have)
Strong hands on expertise in ABAP Development on HANA (performance tuning, pushdown, efficient SQL access patterns).
Proficiency with CDS views and modern data modeling practices (associations, annotations, authorization concepts).
Experience with AMDP / SQLScript for performance critical scenarios and controlled code pushdown.
Solid software engineering discipline: clean design, testing mindset, CI/CD orientation, and production readiness.
AI native build capability: LLM integration, retrieval grounding, tool orchestration, evaluation loops, and safety boundaries.
Secondary / Strongly Beneficial Skills
OData/service design patterns, API lifecycle management, and contract-first development.
Experience integrating SAP backends with cloud runtimes and enterprise integration platforms.
Familiarity with performance benchmarking, load testing, and query-plan driven tuning practices.
Knowledge of SAP security/authorizations and compliance requirements for sensitive enterprise data.

- Tool calling orchestration (LLM triggers approved SAP actions via controlled APIs)

- Deterministic fallbacks when grounding is weak or confidence is low
- Quality Engineering & Evaluation Loops (AI + ABAP)
