The Role
We are looking for a versatile Motion Graphic Designer who sits perfectly at the intersection of video editing and motion graphics. You will own projects from end to end: taking a brief, editing compelling narratives with a flawless sense of pacing and music, and elevating those films with custom, high-end motion graphics, kinetic typography, and UI animations. You will shape how our brand and products show up on screen from rough cut to final render.
What You'll Do
- The Perfect Edit: Edit brand and product films (campaigns, event videos, thought leadership content, customer stories) with a masterful sense of narrative flow, pacing, and sound design.
- Storyboard & Prep: Take a written or verbal brief and quickly concept how it will look and move, utilizing Illustrator or Photoshop to prep assets for animation when needed.
- Integrate AI Thoughtfully: Use AI tools creatively across your workflow, whether for generating reference frames, automating tedious rotoscoping/editing tasks, or accelerating production.
- Collaborate & Iterate: Work closely with cross-functional teams outside the edit bay. Take feedback well, iterate fast, and ship high-quality work on tight timelines.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of professional post-production experience in a hybrid Video Editor / Motion Designer role.
- Dual-Software Fluency: Expert-level mastery of both Premiere Pro (for pacing, storytelling, and audio) and After Effects (for timing, easing, and kinetic animation).
- Design & Vector Literacy: Strong working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator to manipulate layouts and prep assets for motion.
- Story & Sound First: You understand that music, sound effects, and pacing are storytelling tools, not background decoration.
- Excellent Communicator: Able to talk through your creative choices clearly with non-technical stakeholders and adjust based on strategic feedback.
To Apply
Please submit 5 of your best pieces of work that demonstrate both your narrative editing skills and your custom motion graphics work. Shortlisted candidates will receive a short assignment as the next step.
